MEET JANE
Jane Hardwicke Collings, a postmenopausal grandmother with a blended family, has four adult children and three grandsons. Initially a Registered Nurse in Pediatric Intensive Care Units and Women’s Operating Theatres, she transitioned to midwifery at 26, distancing herself from the hospital system to avoid complicity in institutionalized abuse.
For three decades, Jane served as a homebirth midwife, starting in urban settings and later in rural areas. Her birthing experiences informed her capabilities, and menopause shifted her focus to preparing for great-great-grandchildren.
Jane conducts workshops on menstrual wisdom, spirituality, and mother-daughter menstruation preparation. She explores the sacred aspects of pregnancy, birth, mothering, and menopause, guiding individuals on reclaiming rites of passage.
Offering teacher training, Jane speaks at events, providing books and e-courses to heal the wounded feminine and masculine in our patriarchal culture. In 2009, she founded the School of Shamanic Womancraft, an international women's mystery school, to share her profound experience.

About Wise Woman of the World
Wise Women of the World is an intergenerational project Claire Jozan-Meisel imagined a couple of years ago and birthed with the support of Vanina Grisoni.
Its goal is to give a voice to some foremothers of feminine spirituality and spread their wisdom widely through online platforms, thus allowing the youngest to receive teachings from elders across the globe. Universal knowledge through the eyes of females experience is what WWW is gifting the world.
Blessed be!
